Sarah Ponichtera

YIVO Institute

Sarah Ponichtera is the Project Manager of the Vilna Collections Project at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research. She is also an active Yiddish translator, having received a fellowship for literary translation from the NEA in 2014, and a translation fellowship from the Yiddish Book Center in 2013. Her current project is translating Aaron Zeitlin's spy novel Brenendike Erd. She received her PhD in Yiddish Language and Literature from Columbia in 2012. Sarah is a member of In geveb's Editorial Board.
