Adi Mahalel

Visiting Assistant Professor of Yiddish Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, Adi Mahalel received his doctoral degree in Yiddish and Hebrew Studies at Columbia University in 2014. His thesis was on the radical period of Yiddish and Hebrew writer Y. L. Peretz. Adi's articles have appeared in journals such as Studies in American Jewish Literature and Israel Studies Review, and he has a forthcoming article in Kesher: Journal of Media and Communications History in Israel and the Jewish World. Adi is also a culture columnist at the Yiddish Forward.
