Myra Mniewski

Myra Mniewski is a translator, teacher, writer and poet. Her work has appeared in Bloom, Bridges, Jewish Currents, the Forverts and the Forward, Afn Shvel, Davka and The New Fuck You: Adventures in Lesbian Reading. She is co-founder of Pollack~Mniewski Research and Translation, which brings Yiddish to light through translations, videos, and performances. She has served as Director of Yugntruf-Youth for Yiddish and taught writing and Yiddish at a myriad of venues including The Center for Jewish History and The New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care where she taught The Tao of Yiddish.
