In geveb’s soon to be down-sized translation department. Expensive and opinionated human translators will be a thing of the past.
INTRODUCTION
Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, neural networks: these are just some of the exciting buzzwords that have been shaking the world of translation to its core. Technology is evolving at such a pace that it is now possible to imagine a cheaper, more efficient (and less argumentative) way of rendering the treasures of Yiddish literature accessible to the masses.
We here at In geveb do not shy from dipping our toes into the heady torrents of progress known as Digital Humanities, and so we are proud to announce that our translations will no longer be done manually by slow, fallible humans, but via powerful automated machines (ie Google Translate).
See below for an advance preview of what you can expect from our fully-automated translation machine. We believe the results speak for themselves.
