Shlomo Groman

Dr. Shlomo Groman is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Literature of the Jewish People at Bar-Ilan University. His doctoral dissertation (supervised by Prof. Dov-Ber Kotlerman, Bar-Ilan, 2023) examined scientific literature in Yiddish, with particular attention to professional terminology and the ideological dimensions of its development. His current research focuses on modern Yiddish literature, Yiddish linguistics, effective language-teaching methodology, and the linguistic diversity of the Jewish people in Israel and beyond.

For decades, Shlomo has taught Yiddish and Hebrew to both Israeli and international students in a variety of frameworks. He has published several dictionaries and language textbooks, and he is currently developing pioneering multilingual projects in the field of lexicography.
