Sima Beeri

Dr. Sima Beeri holds an MA in Jewish History and Culture from the University of Southampton (UK) and a PhD in Modern Jewish History from University College London (UCL). Her doctoral thesis examined the Yiddish press in the interwar period and was later published as a book titled Literarishe bleter and the Transformation of Yiddish.

She is now retired from teaching Yiddish language and culture at UCL and Ot Azoy in London as well as various private groups. Her second book, a cookbook titled And what about the taste?, documents her family’s cultural background, along with her own culinary additions.
