Sheva Zucker

Sheva Zucker is a well-known Yiddish teacher who has taught and lectured on the Yiddish language, literature and culture on five continents. She is the author of the textbooks Yiddish: An Introduction: Language, Literature and Culture (vols. 1 and 2) published by the Worker's Circle. She is the editor-in-chief emerita of the journal Afn shvel. She has taught for many years in the Uriel Weinreich summer program at YIVO in NYC. This summer she taught at the Tel Aviv summer program and at Yiddish in Berlin. Her scholarly and translation work focuses primarily on women in Yiddish literature. Her first Goldene Pave-CD features 10 Yiddish writers who read from their works. Her new bilingual Goldene Pave was published in 2021.
