Roy Ginsberg is a PhD student in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Harvard University. His research focuses on 20th century avant-garde movements across Eastern Europe and Jewish identities in the late-Russian Empire and Soviet Union. He plans to write his dissertation on the function of religious subtext in early-Soviet portrayals of revolution and industrial utopia.
