Julia Koifman

Julia Koifman holds a BA in Russian and German Studies and an MA in Slavic Studies from Humboldt University of Berlin. She has studied Yiddish and Jewish Studies in Potsdam, Düsseldorf, Haifa, and New York. In her master’s thesis, she conducted a comparative analysis of short stories by Rokhl Brokhes and Roze Palatnik through the lens of gender theory and narratology. She teaches Yiddish language and is a PhD student at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies at Freie Universität Berlin.
