Corina L. Petrescu is Professor of German at The University of Mississippi, USA. She is an accredited researcher with the National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives (CNSAS) in Romania. Currently, she is working on projects related to Yiddish culture: a cultural history of the Jewish State Theater in Bucharest, Romania, during the Cold War, and an analysis of the life and work of stage director Yankev Shternberg (1890-1973).
