David G. Roskies

Elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2012, David G. Roskies is the Sol and Evelyn Henkind Chair in Yiddish Literature and Culture and professor of Jewish Literature at The Jewish Theological Seminary. He also serves as the Naomi Prawer Kadar Visiting Professor of Yiddish Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Among Roskies’ many accomplishments, you can see him here performing Yehoash’s Yiddish translation of the Megillah, in a video from 2016.
