Chad S.A. Gibbs is a PhD candidate in History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently a George L. Mosse Graduate Exchange Fellow to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. In the 2020-2021 academic year, Chad will hold the Fred and Maria Devinki Memorial Fellowship at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Matthew M. Greene is a PhD candidate in the Department of German, Nordic, and Slavic+ at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work focuses on literature of migration written in Czech, German, and Yiddish.

These stories take place in Israeli cities, towns, and villages, in the post-war Soviet Union, and in Poland of the interwar period. However, it is often very difficult to tell where the stories actually take place, because they express an experience of dislocation and total disorientation.
