Simchi Cohen earned her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her work focuses on the intersection of Jewish literature and American popular culture and particularly on representations of the living dead. After a brief sojourn to Philadelphia by way of Drexel University, she has returned to Los Angeles to inculcate a new generation in the ways of dystopian fiction and rhetoric at Harvard-Westlake School.
