Olof Bortz

Olof Bortz is a researcher at the Department of History at Stockholm University. His work deals with political and intellectual history, focusing on topics such as Jewish history, the history of antisemitism and the Holocaust, in Sweden, Europe and the USA. Bortz has written about the historiography of the Holocaust, the history of scholarly interpretations of National Socialism and antisemitism as well as about more contemporary questions relating to historians’ contributions to political debates. Presently he is working on a project on Swedish antisemitism which deals with the antisemitic propagandist Einar Åberg and the impact of his propaganda in Sweden and globally, from the 1930s to the 1960s.
