Faith Hillis is Associate Professor of Russian History at the University of Chicago. Her next book, Utopia's Discontents: Russian Émigrés and the Quest for Freedom, 1830-1930, is forthcoming from Oxford University Press in 2021. She has held fellowships at Columbia and Harvard, and her research has been funded by ACLS, Fulbright-Hays, and the NEH, among others. During the 2018-19 year, she was a fellow at the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public Library.
