emet ezell (b. 1995, Texas, USA) is a poet and typographer living in Berlin, Germany. Trained in the studio of Robert Sawa, ezell works with the letter as the visceral and tactile unit of composition. In addition to printing on paper, the artist makes paper by hand, preserving forgotten techniques through practice. Winner of the Gloria E. Anzaldúa Poetry Prize, ezell is author of between every bird, our bones and their writing has been translated into Latvian, German, Yiddish, and Polish. They will be a 2025 resident at the Djerassi Resident Artist’s Program; “Destruction Is and Is Not Forever” is their first solo-show
