Abigail Lewis

Abigail Lewis is a PhD candidate in European History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a George L. Mosse Exchange Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her work examines photography and visual culture in Nazi occupied France and under the Vichy Regime and the afterlives of occupation photographs in public history, the postwar courtroom, and collective memory. She has also worked as a contract researcher for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and helped create a digital primary source collection on artists and visual culture during the Holocaust.
